The great thing about Drupal is that people post most of their findings and work on the Internet so others can read it.  However, SEO or search engine optimization is a bit of a mystery for alot of website admins and web-beginners.  Most of the information regarding SEO is out on the Internet, but it can seem confusing and is spread out on an array of websites.

The problem with alot of the SEO information is that it's repetative, sometimes false and not laid out in an easy-to-read manner.  Packt Publishing and Ben Finklea did a great job putting all of the principals and need-to-have SEO knowledge in one place, the Drupal 6 Search Engine Optimization book.

Ben Finklea and his editors have done an amazing job taking the puzzle pieces that make up SEO and put them together conveniently in this book.  The book contains:

  • Important SEO modules
  • Keyword research
  • Tracking users
  • Content Writing for SEO

It is about 300-350 pages long and is an easy to follow read.  If your a Drupal master, this book may contain a new few tricks you might now have known about or used before, but its probably not the book for you and requires a browse if you see it in your local bookstore.

However, if your new to web-design, Drupal and site administration this is the book for you hands down.  All the information to create a sucessful website that is search engine friendly is there to get you on your way
